We know it’s been a tough week with all the hectic days complemented with night shifts. This is the scenario with the majority of the population, inviting a number of immune-related illnesses. The chances of acid refluxes also increase with a disturbance in sleep-wake cycles. When your body shows signs like a burning sensation, unnatural weight gain, fatigue, lack of attention and so on, you know its time for a detox. Okay, so one must have come across ‘detox diet plans’ a number of times. Quite mainstream, as we have both heard and tried it before. Let’s add something more to it. How about the ‘Ketox’?
There are several ways to initiate and follow detox plans. The one we’ll discuss today is complimented with the keto diet. The zero carbohydrate principle of this diet is what helps one undergo detoxification by flushing out the excess fats and unwanted carbs. Bodies switch to using fat as an alternative reservoir of energy. Much as it sounds, this also aids the process of fat loss by burning the loathed fats. Regardless it must be noted that though keto promotes food high in fat like cheese and other dairy products, they must be limited in a detox diet.
Here’s a link between detoxification and keto 1. Beverages. A number of detox plans suggest more of sipping and less chewing. However, this isn’t recommended when it comes to fruits and veggies. The fibers must be preserved. This will accelerate the process of cleansing. The beverages that are highly advised are green tea, lemonades (of course without large amounts of sugar in it, though it is irresistible), water infused with mentha or citrus fruits like lemons or oranges. 2. Breakfast. Its all said and done. Breakfast is something that cannot be compromised when on a detox. One can have eggs. The albumin which is proven to be a protein-rich content is augmented by the egg yolk which is a source of both fats and proteins. Fruits like avocados, oranges, kiwis are rich in fibres and antioxidants. You can also add them to an oatmeal. Opt for more sugar-free fruit unlike fruits like mango, grapes and so on. 3. Lunch. Having a full fletched meal is also essential for keeping up with your energy requirements for the day. There is a wide range of keto pizzas and wrap recipes over the net. One can add cottage cheese or bacon sausages topped with some lettuce. Fishes like tuna and mackerel are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which curb bad cholesterol. Leafy greens like lettuces, kale, and spinach contain high fibers. Also veggies like cabbage, zucchini, Brussels, and broccoli are rich sources of the same. Sprouts are also highly recommended. 4. Dinner. Keep it as minimal as possible. Baked meat or salads with celery, lettuce, tomatoes. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and lycopene which maintain the health of your epithelium and thus your skin and are highly recommended on detox. No wonder you see people glow post a detox diet. 5. Snacks. It’s snack time! They must not be overlooked as they will help you beat hunger pangs. Protein bars, berries, and nuts are a good option.
With a little discipline and religious follow up of the plan you will definitely be on the top of your game, leaving you more confident. We wish you a cleaner and healthier body!
