Around 4-6 litres of water per day must be consumed.
What to avoid? Beverages like alcohol, coffee, and aerated drinks are strictly a no-no. White bread and wheat are high in gluten which irritates the gut and might also spike up blood glucose levels. How much to eat? Proteins: 50g daily Carbohydrates: Less than 100-150g per day. Most of your carbs must come from vegetables and not grains. Fats: Nothing more than 80g per day. Among this 70% must come from polyunsaturated fatty acids which are obtained by food like flax oil, walnuts and soybean oil. Calories: Various diet plans have various different limits. Some of them are as low as 600 calories. However, for a general detox consumes no more than 1300 calories. The bottom line: Go organic, Go raw. Eat as healthy as possible.
